She was taken aback. “Bennett?”

Without stopping, Bennett glanced at her and queried, “Did you come for dinner?"

He seemed oblivious to her dining plans with the Nixon family that evening. Claudia nodded in affirmation and returned the question, “And you?"

“I'm here for a work-related dinner."

As he spoke, Claudia detected the scent of alcohol on him.

Positioning himself behind her wheelchair, Bennett asked, "Are you here by yourself?"

Claudia negated with a shake of her head. “No, my father is here too."

Just as she finished her sentence, Jace emerged from the private room.

Jace was taken aback upon seeing Bennett.

Bennett, on the other hand, greeted him with a composed demeanor. "Mr. Marshall.”

Jace reciprocated with a nod. "We should get going."

After Claudia's departure, Jace stayed behind in the private room and reprimanded the Nixon family with some stern words

The mere thought of Delilah ignited his anger. Anthony was simply toying with his daughter.

Bennett overheard a few words, but he chose not to probe further and proceeded to push Claudia's wheelchair towards the elevator

Jace's admonishments were a figurative slap to the face for the Nixon family. Henry was utterly humiliated due to Anthony's actions.

Stepping forward, he landed a slap on Anthony's face. “Look at the mess you've created!"

Rachel was displeased with Claudia's unforgiving attitude. When Delilah had first barged in, she felt a sense of relief, thinking that Anthony wouldn't have to apologize on his knees anymore.

But recalling Jace's words, a pang of anxiety ran through Rachel. She nudged Anthony, demanding, “What are you still doing here? Go after Cece. If she ends up marrying someone else, you'll live to regret it!"

Her words jolted Anthony out of his reverie. As he blindly bolted out of the room and towards the elevator, he spotted Claudia and Bennett.

Bennett stood protectively behind Claudia. Upon seeing Anthony, Bennett's gaze hardened, turning cold and forbidding.

As the elevator doors began to close, Anthony instinctively called out to Claudia.

In their shared past, whenever Claudia laid her eyes on Anthony, her face would Light up with happiness.
