Raising an eyebrow, Mathews turned to Joann and asked, “Do you know how Miss Marshall and Mr. Dreskin became acquainted?"

Joann also didn't know. "Cece didn't tell me the details."

How could she know?

Joann had learned of Claudia's marriage to Bennett online.

“Has Mr. Dreskin ever Listened to her piano performance?"

Finding Mathews' inquiry rather perplexing, Joann smiled uncomfortably and said, “I wouldn't know. I can't exactly keep tabs on everyone in the audience, can I?"

Mathews seemed puzzled.

"I see."

Clicking his tongue thoughtfully, Mathews looked like he wanted to inquire further, but a warning cough from Miguel halted him.

He reined in his curiosity, saying dismissively, "Oh, never mind. I was just wondering. Nothing else from us. We'll be on our way. Enjoy your day, Miss Norris."

"Oh, okay."

Mathews nodded, put on the cap and mask again, stood up and Left with Miguel.

Once outside the cafe, Miguel shot Mathews a stern look and demanded, “Since when did you become so gossipy?"

Mathews met his gaze.

“I'm just curious."

Miguel glared at him again, cautioning, “Don't play games with me! She's a married woman. Leave those feelings behind!"

“I can't really take them back. What am I supposed to do?"

Mathews shrugged helplessly, which only served to infuriate Miguel further.

Claudia was aware that Bennett would be waiting for her in the parking lot. With Bennett raking in tens of thousands per second, she couldn't bear to make him wait long!

So, once the contract was signed, she dashed towards the parking lot. Her feet were almost a blur. Her sole aim was to get back as quickly as she could. Wasting Bennett's time was the Last thing she wanted.

But, to her surprise, Bennett had already come upstairs. Claudia didn't halt until she was intercepted by someone and inhaled that familiar woody scent. She gazed at Bennett, astonished, and inquired, “Why are you here?"

Her question seemed odd, as though Bennett had no right to be there! Claudia swiftly clarified, "I didn't mean that. What I mean is, why did you come up?"

Bennett, tall with lengthy legs, dressed in black casual wear, drew numerous admiring glances along the way.

Coupled with Claudia's striking temperament and gorgeous features, the two of them standing together sparked thoughts among many passersby that they were filming some romantic drama.
