Chapter: 402
“Okay.”
“If you need anything, you'll find me in my study," Bennett added. Claudia found herself at a loss for words.
Hear what he said!
Even if she truly needed something, she wouldn't dare seek him out in the study!
Noticing her reddening face, Bennett silently grinned, departing Claudia's room with a sense of satisfaction.
Meanwhile, one of the employees couldn't resist inquiring, "Was that Mrs. Dreskin who came in just now?"
Another person answered, "Who else could it be? If ever Mr. Dreskin did have other girlfriends, he wouldn't be rumored to be impotent.”
A third person added, “I wonder who started that rumor. Does Mr. Dreskin seem impotent to you?"
Another one replied, "Indeed. Didn't you hear earlier? Mr. Dreskin said Mrs. Dreskin was worn out last night!"
Bennett might pause the meeting and leave the room, but his Bluetooth earphone was still on, naturally allowing him to overhear their chatter.
Settling back into his chair, he looked at his colleagues on the screen with a sly smile. "Please, continue."
His subordinates instantly knew they were in trouble.
From that day on, Claudia never dared to recklessly enter the study room again.
As August's heat intensified in Linmarsh, Aurora's company planned a seaside team-building trip for the following week. She then invited Claudia to shop for swimsuits with her over the weekend.
They shopped all afternoon, with Claudia ending up with two sets of lingerie, while Aurora left without a swimsuit.
At one point, Claudia merely glanced a few extra moments at the lingerie, but Aurora, thinking she understood her friend's interest, called over a shopping guide.
At first, Claudia really didn't want to buy it, but after she went into the fitting room and tried it on, she changed her mind. Although she felt a little ashamed looking at her sexy self in the mirror, she actually thought that she could own such underwear.
So she impulsively bought it.
Unable to find a swimsuit to her liking, Aurora and Claudia continued to explore the mall.
With her mother's birthday nearing, Aurora's another agenda today was to pick out a perfect birthday gift. Considering Jace's upcoming birthday, Claudia opted to select a watch.
Before coming here, Aurora had already done the research. She soon settled on a handbag as a gift, picking out the exact one her mother had been eyeing, and paid with her card.
When the two of them were about to leave, they heard a familiar voice.
“Do you have any new bag recently?"
Claudia and Aurora exchanged glances, feeling quite unlucky. "Why did we have to run into her?"
