“Last time, I didn't actually rescue her. She jumped into the water on her own and then manipulated me into helping her out. I thought she was trying to set me up, but she went around telling everyone that I was her savior.”

Bennett responded, “Do you suspect she has ulterior motives this time?" Shaking her head, Claudia remarked, “She made a promise and even let you record her words. It doesn't Look Like she'll still hurt me after this, right?"

No sane person would take such a risk!

If Zaria truly streaked through downtown naked, it would become national news!

The police would likely apprehend her for causing a disturbance and she'd end up in jail for a few days. Wasn't that an incredibly high price to pay?

As Bennett studied her eyes, his lips tightened. He inquired, "So, what are you trying to say?"

“Well... Is there any possibility that she likes me not you?" Claudia's face turned red. Fearing Bennett might misunderstand, she hastened to clarify, “Oh, please don't get upset. I'm not implying I'm attracted to women!"

Her words seemed to darken Bennett's expression considerably.

Claudia glanced at him and quickly said, “Sorry, I was just talking nonsense!"

After all, Zaria was once Bennett's fiancee. Claudia's words must've bruised his ego!

Suppressing his emotions, Bennett looked at her and advised, "Avoid her from now on."

This Zaria woman was undoubtedly odd!

Claudia nodded, assuring, "Alright, I'll be sure to stay away from her in the future!"

Revisiting the invitation card in his grasp, Bennett found it annoying.
