Chapter: 442
She remained silent, not responding to Zaria, unsure of what to say.

A pang of regret struck her for having saved Zaria from the water that day. If only she had known what would happen later, she would have just walked away and called for assistance instead of jumping into the pool!

While Claudia lost in thought, Bennett had driven the car into the garage, and soon after, he parked it there.

It wasn't until the garage's Light flickered on that Bennett noticed Claudia's flushed face and alerted her, "We're here."

Claudia's senses snapped back, and she peered outside to realize they were home.

“Alright, alright," she said, hastily unfastening her seat belt, opening the door, and stepping out of the car.

The moment her feet hit the ground, she wobbled. What was happening? She felt somewhat dizzy.

“Is your Leg hurting?" he asked.

Claudia straightened up, looked at Bennett with an awkward expression, and replied, "No, I just feel a bit dizzy."

It was more than a simple dizziness. She felt somewhat feverish. Claudia's hand subconsciously went to her face, finding it warm. Alarmed, she asked, “Do I have a fever?"

“You've been drinking," he said, stating a fact rather than posing a question.

Claudia pondered for a moment, and then answered, "No, I only had a glass of orange juice with Zaria upstairs, and then another while I was waiting for you."

She hadn't consumed any alcohol.

Didn't she know herself by now?

She wouldn't dare to drink!

"There's something called punch!" Bennett interjected. Claudia's eyes widened in surprise.

“Really? I really thought it was just juice..."

“Obviously it wasn't."

“Well, I need to shower and head to bed!" she declared, determined to lock the door while she was still coherent. Otherwise, she feared she might do something outrageous in her drunken state!

With that, Claudia dashed upstairs.

Bennett watched the flutter of her skirt, his lips curling into a soft chuckle before he followed her.

Once back in her room, Claudia quickly removed her makeup, showered, and lay in bed, trying to coax herself into sleep.

But she couldn't figure out why. The more she wanted to drift off, the more sleep eluded her. She found herself feeling a bit warm, not just that, but another odd sensation too.

The odd sensation reminded her of something Like when the heroine was drugged in the absurd plot shared by Aurora, who had learned it from romantic novels.
