Chapter: 487
Her heart raced. Her right hand, holding the phone, trembled a bit, and her ears tinged with a hint of red.
After snapping a few pictures, guilt crept in and she almost released his hand.
Surprisingly, as she started to let go, he tightened his hold.
She looked into his eyes, flustered. "What's the matter?"
“The pictures won't do like this."
“How should we take them then?”
He relaxed his grip, moving to the piano. "Join me here."
Without a shred of doubt, Claudia walked over.
“Sit here."
He gestured towards the spot in front of him, and she complied by taking a seat.
Once again, her left hand was captured, and Bennett embraced her from behind.
Startled momentarily, Claudia felt a sudden pressure on her shoulder, his breath grazing her cheek, her face flushed.
She sat immobilized, her heart and breath racing.
Bennett reached for the nearby roses, instructing, "Hold these."
With a mind in turmoil, Claudia clutched the flowers tightly.
“Password?" he took her phone and asked, to which she responded, "@828."
"Your birthday?" he teased, to which she bashfully admitted, "Yes."
“Don't worry about the camera. I won't capture our faces," he assured, his finger on the button.
Bennett snapped a series of photos one after another, and then proceeded to review the shots.
With Claudia nestled in his arms, his breath occasionally brushing against her face, it felt like he was showering her with tender kisses.
Luckily, her "ordeal" was brief, Bennett expressing satisfaction with the images.
As he released her, freedom enveloped Claudia. Cradling the roses, she avoided his gaze.
Her emotions were flowing beyond her control.
"There you go." With that, Bennett handed Claudia her phone back.
