Chapter: 486
"Alright," Bennett said, eyeing the Large bouquet of red roses. "Don't you like roses?”
“No, I adore them," she exclaimed, rushing to gather the bouquet.
It was the first time she'd received nine hundred and ninety-nine roses, and they were surprisingly heavy!
The first time she tried, she couldn't Lift it and nearly stumbled.
On the second attempt, she mustered her strength and finally lifted them.
Were there really that many roses?
As she prepared to count, Bennett suddenly interrupted, “Aren't you going to post it on Facebook or something?"
"What?" Claudia was confused. Bennett inquired, glancing at her casually.
“I thought all women like to flaunt on Facebook when receiving flowers?"
For a moment, Claudia was speechless, her joy abruptly turning into confusion.
The truth was, he hadn't just gifted these tokens of affection to her personally. He simply intended for her to display them on Facebook, broadcasting their happy marriage.
Though she realized he did nothing wrong, she found her spirits plummeting, unable to control her sudden melancholy.
Her smile faded, prompting Bennett to query, “You're not planning to share it online?"
Jolted by his voice, Claudia quickly shook her head, reassuring, "No, I'm just contemplating the best way to post it.”
Avoiding his gaze, guilt shadowing her face, she snapped a few pictures with her phone. Suddenly, her eyes fell on Bennett's hand, and an audacious thought struck her.
He noticed her attention, lifting his hand.
“Is something wrong with my hand?"
Face flushed, Claudia proposed, "We might need some special photos to truly capture our love.”
“Well... Maybe a photo of our hands intertwined," she stammered, the idea insignificant in reality, but her desire to hold his hand overwhelming.
Feeling a pang of embarrassment but unable to dismiss her longing, Claudia clung to her idea.
After all, Bennett was now hers anyway!
Bennett studied his hand, his eyes then shifting to her. "How should we take this photo?"
Claudia approached him, intertwining the fingers of her left hand with his right, tightening her grasp.
The man's hands felt warm and strong, and their touch sent a clear sense of his warmth to her.
