Chapter: 497
Before Claudia could respond, her belly gave an audible grumble. Claudia was left speechless.
She was embarrassed.
She gave Marcia a quick glance. Marcia grinned and asked, “I'm about to cook breakfast. How about some toast first?"
“Okay, sounds great." She was open to eating anything, but what she really wanted now was some time alone.
Marcia, still smiling, headed to the kitchen. Left to her own devices, Claudia's attention shifted to her phone on the coffee table. After a moment of contemplation, she texted Aurora about her embarrassing morning mishaps.
Assuming Aurora was still tucked in bed this early in the morning, Claudia was caught off guard by the immediate response, "You're up so early?
Didn't you have wild sex last night?"
Claudia was left speechless.
Maybe she shouldn't have sent the message.
Detecting Claudia's silence, Aurora quickly apologized, "Oops, I'm sorry, Cece. Are your knees okay? Maybe you should go to the hospital? Since it's Sunday, how about I go with you to the hospital?"
Look, this was what a friend should say.
Chuckling, Claudia replied, "No worries. Our family doctor is on his way here.”
Aurora replied, "Right, a family doctor. It's really good to be rich. isn't it?"
The family doctor arrived promptly Like Bennett said. Marcia had just finished cooking breakfast and before Claudia could begin eating, the doctor arrived.
Upon hearing the doorbell, Marcia dashed to open it. She stated, "Mrs. Dreskin, I'll handle the door. You stay put."
Claudia, with no intention of moving at all, found herself at a loss for words.
Before long, Marcia ushered the doctor inside.
"Mrs. Dreskin, I'm Silas Cullen. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Hlello."
“Mr. Dreskin informed me about your left knee hitting the bed. Could you display the injury to me?"
Feeling embarrassed, Claudia rolled up her trousers again.
The bruises on her knee appeared even more alarming as time went by. Silas donned his gloves and instructed, "Mrs. Dreskin, please extend your leg.”
Claudia complied, stretching out her leg.
After conducting a thorough examination, Silas confirmed that the bone was unharmed. The damage was confined to internal skin tissues. The pain was considerable but it should subside in a day or two with the application of a bruise and swelling-dispelling spray.
