Chapter: 541
Forget it. She could find it herself. Anyway, she had nothing to do.
Upon finding the charger, Claudia settled on the couch, surfing the Internet.
It had been about a week since the rumors of her and Bennett's shaky marriage surfaced. Now, the online chatter had dwindled down.
At the height of the scandal, Claudia had steered clear of any comments. But now, with the coast seemingly clear, she could indulge in reading them without worry.
Even if she unintentionally liked a comment, it wouldn't be noticed immediately.
Claudia was engrossed in the comments. An hour zipped by, and when Aurora emerged from her room for a bathroom break, she noticed Claudia, still engrossed, tapping her phone like there was no tomorrow. Upon her return, Claudia was at it again.
Curiosity piqued, Aurora sidled up for a closer look. She soon realized Claudia was pouring over comments that showered her and Bennett with praise.
But Claudia was poking... a photo of Bennett someone posted in the comment area.
Aurora was amused.
“If you're that riled up, why not just give him a poke in person?"
Really, what good was venting on a picture? Right?
Caught off guard, Claudia hadn't anticipated Aurora waking up so soon. Feeling slightly ashamed at being caught in such a silly act, she queried, "Weren't you sleeping?"
“Of course. Just had to use the restroom," Aurora replied, stretching into a yawn.
Claudia chuckled.
“Looks like you're in a Lively mood. How about we head out now?"
Why on earth had Aurora peeked at what she was doing? How embarrassing! Was she in good spirits now?
Then no need to sleep anymore.
Clearing her throat, Aurora replied, “Actually, I'm still a bit sleepy. I think I'LL snooze a bit longer. You continue with your... poking." Claudia found herself at a loss for words.
She went too far!
Aurora dashed off to her room, leaving Claudia feeling annoyed and alone.
After being seen by Aurora, Claudia's eagerness to continue her online activity waned.
She exited her Twitter app and glanced at the clock.
It was only eight ten.
Why did moments you wish to fly by drag on endlessly, and times you wish to savor whiz by in a blur?
