Contrary to Claudia's expectations, the blemishes weren't as numerous as she had envisioned. There were about twenty or so, and nearly all of them had faded. Nevertheless, it appeared that they were recent scars; even though the blemishes were gone, faint remnants remained visible on his skin.
“I've completed my examination."
She lifted her head and stole a glance at Bennett. Summoning her courage, she positioned her hands on his shoulder to steady herself as she seated herself beside him.
“I apologize, Mr. Dreskin. I wasn't aware that you had chickenpox." Bennett rebuttoned his shirt, asking, “How did you find out about my breakout now?"
Claudia was at a loss for words.
It wasn't surprising that Jackson had emphasized it repeatedly -
Bennett truly possessed an astute understanding!
She was attempting to concoct an excuse that wouldn't implicate his secretary.
However, upon reflection, she realized that she had very few acquaintances with any connection to Bennett!
Amid Claudia's despair, her attention was suddenly drawn to a chickenpox scar on the side of Bennett's neck!

“Is that so?"
Bennett raised his hand to touch his neck and inquired, “Where is it?"
“Here," Claudia indicated, pointing at the spot.
“Here?”
He probed another area with his finger, failing to locate the scar Claudia had mentioned.
“No, move left a Little."
Bennett moved his hand left but still he hadn't found the correct
Location,
Without delay, Claudia extended her hand and gently grasped his index finger, guiding it to the precise location of the spot. "Here."
“Alright, I've felt it."
In an unexpected move, he turned his head. Caught off guard, she noticed his breath brushing against her face. Confronted with his Lips so close, Claudia could feel her heart racing.
In that moment, she yearned to kiss him!
Bennett was also regarding her, his eyes inscrutable, revealing nothing.
