Chapter: 581
“Then what is it?"
“Have a Look.”
After hesitating for a few heartbeats, Claudia carefully opened the gift box. Inside, she found a cute little toy bunny.
It was so adorable!
It was a tiny cartoon plushy of a bunny.
“You Love rabbits, right?"
“Yes, I do."
“I saw that and thought of you, so I got it for you."
As Bennett spoke, he looked deeply into Claudia‘s eyes. His lovely dark eyes seemed to say a lot more.
Claudia gently put the toy rabbit back in the box and thanked Bennett again. "I really appreciate this, Mr. Dreskin. Thank you very much."
“I'm glad you like it," he replied, looking at her with calm, gentle eyes.
Returning Bennett's doting gaze, Claudia suddenly thought about the conversation she just had with Aurora. She was so excited that she asked directly, "Mr. Dreskin, did you come back from your business trip tonight for me?"
Bennett was surprised to hear her question.
"Did you want me to come back for you, Mrs. Dreskin?"
Bennett threw the question back to Claudia and peered at her with his dark, expectant eyes.
Slightly embarrassed, Claudia murmured, “I don't know."
Was she even entitled to want something like that?
Realizing that she had asked a stupid question, Claudia quickly said good night and shut her bedroom door in Bennett's face.
Looking at the closed door in front of him, Bennett was speechless.
Leaning on her door, Claudia breathed a sigh of relief. She felt Lucky that she reacted quickly. Otherwise, tonight would've ended on a humiliating note for her.
She didn't want to fill her head with nonsense, so she quickly gathered her pajamas and went to take a shower.
Claudia had stopped having “romantic” dreams about Bennett since she boldly asked him last time whether or not he was seducing her and practically drove him away.
But tonight, the dreams were back, and this time, it was about Bennett directly answering her Last question for him.
"You wouldn't have seen me at the party if I hadn't come back for you." In her dream, Claudia was even bolder. She didn't think Bennett's answer was good enough, so she pressed fearlessly, "So you did come back for me?"
