Chapter: 583
When Claudia was about to stop staring at her husband, Bennett suddenly reached out and undid the third button of his shirt.
Did he find out that she was staring?
Witnessing this, Claudia froze for a moment and loosened her grip on her spoon without realizing it. She dropped her spoon onto the rim of her bowl, making a startling clanging sound.
“What's wrong?"
Bennett, who was sitting opposite her, asked.
Claudia swallowed her lips and blushed. She shook her head and said, “Nothing. I just didn’t hold my spoon firmly.”
She put one hand on her lap and pinched her thigh.
“Get it together, Claudia!" she muttered to herself.
After breakfast, Claudia went to the piano room under the guise of wanting to practice.
“Stop staring, Claudia! He will never belong to you no matter how much you ogle him!" she scolded herself.
Chuckling mirthlessly, she sat at the piano and brushed her fingers over the keys.
Then, all of a sudden, there was a knock at the door.
Claudia jumped up in surprise. She turned around and saw Bennett come in. He asked, "Have you made any plans for this afternoon?"
Claudia blinked at him and answered, "No, I haven't."
Even if she had something to do, it was his business that was more important.
Of course Claudia didn't dare to say that to Bennett.
But she was still a little confused. Why was he asking her about her afternoon plans out of the blue?
"Can you ride a horse?" Bennett asked.
This was Claudia's weakness. She shook her head and answered honestly, "No."
“It doesn't matter. I can handle it."
After a pause, Bennett explained, "Breck and the guys invited me to ride with them this afternoon, and they're all bringing female companions."
“Oh, okay, I see," Claudia replied.
His unmarried friends brought female companions to things. As the only married one among the group, Bennett would most definitely become the town's hot topic again if he showed up to that afternoon ride without his wife.
Claudia could totally understand.
