Chapter: 597
Why did Kayla call Bennett "Townsend"?
She, his own wife, could only call him Mr. Dreskin, and at most Bennett.
Maybe she really was a fake Mrs. Dreskin who didn't deserve to call her own husband by a pet name.
ALL of a sudden, Claudia was no Longer in a good mood. She didn't feel like learning to ride anymore.
While she stewed quietly and let her jealous thoughts consume her, Bennett took a deep breath behind her and then began explaining, "My grandfather gave me the name ‘Townsend’, and it's now my middle name. My mother used to Like calling me by that name when I was little.”
He paused for a while and then continued, "Miss Bryant's mother must be the one who told her about it.”
“Really?” Hearing Bennett explain to her, Claudia found herself at a loss for words.
Bennett looked down at her, and when he saw distress in her beautiful eyes, he couldn't help feeling a tad elated. "Do you want to continue riding?" he asked.
“Of course."
Why should she stop now?
She hadn't learned how to ride properly yet.
“Okay.”
Bennett began to teach her again.
This time, Claudia managed to remember many of the key points of horseback riding.
Kayla's sudden, passive-aggressive appearance actually helped Claudia concentrate.
“Do you know how to ride now?"
It was the seventh time that Bennett asked her this question.
Claudia nodded, albeit a bit reluctantly, "Yes."
She felt that she was already confident enough.
“ALL right. I will dismount now and let you practice on your own, okay?"
“What? No!" Claudia said in panic.
The moment the words left her lips, she regretted them. Would Bennett think that she had an ulterior motive for not letting him leave her to ride on her own?
“It's getting late. I want to ride fast, and I don't think I can do it alone. Will you take me?"
Bennett raised his eyebrows and asked, “Aren't you scared of riding fast?"
