Chapter: 671
She felt immensely blessed.
Bennett found himself entirely unprepared for this moment. His obsidian eyes deepened in hue and as his gaze locked onto Claudia, he swallowed hard before inquiring, "May I request another kiss?"
The timbre of his voice, low and husky, bore the weight of his restrained longing.
Claudia had acted on a sudden whim, and when she heard his plea for “another kiss," a rosy blush crept across her cheeks.
As she gazed ahead, she noticed the green Light glowing.
Her eyes sparkled with delight as she exclaimed, "The traffic Light turns green! Let's go!”
Bennett cast a lingering Look her way for another two seconds before he slowly turned the ignition key and set the car in motion.
Claudia turned her head to peer out of the window, her fingers lightly tracing her own blushing visage.
Despite feeling bashful, a profound sense of joy enveloped her.
Alas, she had also been a bit wicked.
Claudia had initially intended to spend the entire day there with her father, but Jace urged the couple to go back home after Lunch.
That morning, she had already informed Marcia that there was no need to prepare lunch or dinner for the day. Upon returning to the villa, she discovered it was deserted.
Claudia strolled over to the kitchen counter and poured herself a glass of water. She observed Bennett as he answered the phone, savoring her drink slowly.
The clock struck three and the sun bathed Bennett in a radiant glow, accentuating the sheen of his ebony attire.
Her attention was momentarily captivated by his Adam's apple, and she instinctively downed her almost entire glass of water.
Lost in thought, Claudia failed to notice when Bennett ended the call. He approached her in a few measured strides and playfully flicked the glass of water in her hand with his index finger, teasing, “What has captured your fascination? Why this intense fixation?"
“Your Adam's apple," Claudia replied without thinking, her face flushing crimson.
Why did she always blurt out her innermost thoughts? Embarrassment colored her cheeks and she nervously bit the glass, attempting to clarify. "I mean, when I saw the sunlight dance upon your Adam's apple, it Looks..."
She faltered, unable to continue the feeble excuse.
Raising her gaze, Claudia found Bennett watching her with a faint smile.
Setting down the glass, she decided to be straightforward, admitting, “I was indeed admiring your Adam's apple. After all, you're my husband. What's the harm in that?"
It was logical, reasonable and completely justified!
But then her embarrassment transformed into a hint of defiance. "In fact," she confessed, "I also want to touch it!"
As she spoke, Claudia couldn't resist extending her hand to do just that.
