Chapter: 690
Back in the car, Claudia pulled out her phone to check the time. Only then did she discover that the two of them had been hanging out in the riverside park for more than an hour.
It was already past nine o'clock in the evening.
Time certainly flew by when she was happy.
The street lights came into view as the car made its way slowly to the main road.
Claudia stared out the window at the Lights.
A few minutes later, an idea sprang to her mind.
While Bennett was driving, Claudia took out her phone and took a few photos of herself, each with the man in the picture.
She then picked the nicest-looking one and uploaded it with the caption “Happy weekend!" on her Facebook timeline.
Not even fifteen minutes Later, the post had already gathered thirty Likes.
Aurora had messaged her three hours ago, and she still had not responded. So, Claudia exited Facebook, opened the chat page, and typed a response.
“We ran into Bennett's aunt when we were having dinner earlier. She mentioned having a meal with us tomorrow evening. I'm so nervous!"
Aurora replied jokingly, “I knew you were going to brag about your wonderful married life to me.
Anyway, why are you nervous? You two are officially married under the law. Also, they're just his aunt and uncle. You're not even afraid of his father, so why are you scared of his aunt and uncle?"
Claudia, blushing, answered, "That's different. Bennett doesn't have a good relationship with his father, but I'm not sure whether or not he's on bad terms with his uncle or aunt."
Aurora responded, “Is that so? I see. In any case, you have nothing to be nervous about. You're beautiful and talented. So long as his uncle and aunt don't have a bad attitude, you'LL get along great with them.” It took Claudia a while to respond to that. "You're right."
Aurora said encouragingly, "Girl, be confident! By the way, have you opened the package I sent to you? Do you like it? Wait, forget it. My Internet connection is bad right now. I'll talk to you later. Bye!
As Claudia exited the messaging app, she tried to keep her expression straight.
When Bennett saw the red light, he stopped the car.
He then turned to her and asked, "Are you feeling hot?"
“No.”
The car's air conditioning was functioning well, so why would she feel hot?
“Then why is your face so red?”
Bennett smiled teasingly. "What are you thinking about, Mrs. Dreskin?”
“Nothing!"
