Chapter: 709
Bennett looked at her with a faint smile, seemingly unaware of the true intent behind her question.
“Sometimes Google can be helpful," he replied innocently.
Claudia felt a wave of relief wash over her at his response, and her eyes lit up with renewed brightness. The heaviness in her chest dissipated.
With the weight of her worries lifted, Claudia felt much better. Bennett's gestures were a reflection of his love for her. She lowered her head and relaxed, savoring the delicious tea that her thoughtful and caring husband made for her.
The warm liquid flowed down Claudia's throat and into her stomach, spreading a comforting warmth throughout her body. She felt her muscles relax and her discomfort ease.
While holding the cup, she gazed up at Bennett and asked, “Have you made this tea for anyone else?"
“No," Bennett replied with a smile.
Then, with a raised eyebrow, he added, "What about you, Mrs. Dreskin? Has any other people ever bought you sanitary napkins before?"
Claudia felt a blush rise to her cheeks at his question.
“Does Aurora count?" she replied, grinning.
Bennett covered her belly with his other hand and shook his head.
“No.
I mean other men."
"Then no man has ever bought that for me except for you," Claudia replied, feeling both embarrassment and amusement.
She lowered her head, unable to meet Bennett's gaze. Despite her embarrassment, she felt grateful for his lighthearted teasing and caring gestures.
The tea had cooled off, and there was only a little left in the cup, so Claudia drank the rest in one mouthful.
She passed the empty cup to Bennett.
“Does your tummy still ache?" Claudia nodded.
“It hurts, but only a little."
“Do you want to brush your teeth now?"
‘ve finished it, thank you."
Bennett put the cup aside and added, “Would you like me to carry you to the bathroom?"
Claudia chuckled as she slid out of bed and said, "No, I'm sure I'l manage."
It was just a menstruation, not an amputation
