Chapter: 720
Looking away from him, Claudia asked, “Where's my birthday gift?" Instead of responding to the question, Bennett lifted her up from the bed.
With a startled yelp, Claudia wrapped her arms around his neck. "What are you doing?"
Bennett carried her to the balcony and instructed, “Look down, Mrs. Dreskin."
Claudia did as she was told and saw the rose-filled garden outside. They were definitely not there when she returned home Last night. Claudia looked at him in disbelief. "Did you make that this morning?"
“Last night."
He lifted his hand and brushed a stray hair from her forehead.
“I wanted to show it to you at exactly twelve o'clock in the morning, but someone just fell asleep early.”
Blushing, Claudia replied, "I also don't know how I fell asleep Last night."
She then gazed at him Lovingly and placed a kiss on his cheek.
She chirped, "I like it so much, Thank you.”
After a while, Bennett carried Claudia back to the bed. Claudia, upon remembering she had yet to wash up, asked him to put her down.
He immediately obeyed and placed her on the bed.
Humming contently, Claudia wore her slippers and went into the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. She could not get the grin off her face. It was still morning, yet she had already received a lot of blessings. Her smile turned into a grin when she remembered the roses outside.
When she came out of the bathroom, she found Bennett standing on the balcony. A gust of wind brushed past him, ruffling his hair.
Claudia walked up to the dresser and found a box of mango-flavored candies on it.
She turned to Bennett and asked, "Are you the one who put this here?" Bennett's eyes and smile were already dazzling, but the sunlight made them even more so. "No, a secret angel left it there."
Claudia huffed, unconvinced. She knew it was his doing. "Do you want some?"
She opened the box, took out a piece of candy from it, and put it in her mouth.
After its initial sweet taste, her tongue finally detected the mango-flavored candy's sourness.
Claudia grabbed another one, approached Bennett, and raised it to his mouth. "Try it. It's delicious."
Bennett lowered his head and let her pop the candy into his mouth. Smiling slightly, he asked, "Why do you Like mango-flavored candy so much?"
Claudia cleaned her hands with a tissue and returned to the dresser.
“Because eating mango-flavored candy will make people happy.”
"Says who?"
