Chapter: 724
“Yeah, I like it very much!" Having an entire garden filled with red roses all to herself!

Who wouldn't like that! She couldn't help but voice out internally.

Claudia was beaming with happiness in Bennett's arms. Her eyes sparkled like stars in the night sky.

As Bennett looked at her, his own dark eyes brightened with affection. Unable to resist, he lowered his head and gently kissed her Lips. "Well, I also like you very much, Mrs. Dreskin," he whispered, his voice filled with warmth and tenderness.

The morning sunlight bathed Bennett's face in a warm glow, causing his deep eyes to shimmer.

Claudia blushed at his playful imitation of her own words and snuggled into his arms with a touch of embarrassment. "Thank you," she murmured gratefully.

It would have been a beautiful and heartwarming moment if it weren't for the sudden growling of Claudia's stomach.

Her face turned even redder as the grumbling sound became particularly noticeable.

She loosened her grip, feeling embarrassed.

“I'm sorry; I'm just so hungry."

"I heard it."

Without daring to glance back at Bennett, Claudia quickly made her way to the dining room, her face flushed with unease.

As they entered, Marcia brought out the breakfast she had already prepared. "Today is your birthday, Mrs. Dreskin. I specially cooked a bowl of longevity noodles to celebrate," Marcia announced with a smile.

“Thank you, Marcia," Claudia said gratefully, relieved that the attention was no Longer on her embarrassing moment.

Even Bennett, who seldom spoke with Marcia, chimed in. "It was very thoughtful of you," he said.

Marcia beamed with happiness upon hearing the praise from her employers. "Well, Mr. and Mrs. Dreskin, what would you like for Lunch? Since it's Mrs. Dreskin's birthday, I want to make something special."

Bennett glanced at Claudia and asked, "What do you think, Mrs. Dreskin?"

Claudia took a sip of water and then glanced at Bennett. She then addressed the housekeeper.

“Marcia, I trust your judgment. Every dish you prepare is delicious."

After two months of cooking for the Dreskins, Marcia had become accustomed to their taste preferences.

“Thank you, Mrs. Dreskin."

Marcia cheerfully headed to the kitchen to prepare Lunch.

Claudia eagerly anticipated the meal. She knew the effort involved in making the noodles. These special noodles bring luck, prosperity, and a long life, making them a traditional dish for special celebrations. Marcia handmade the noodle dough and cut it so it was one long, continuous noodle to represent a Long life. Slowly simmering the broth created a delicious chicken soup that perfectly complemented the flavorful noodles. Claudia couldn't wait to savor each bite of the meaningful dish.

After finishing the Last bite of noodles and drinking the flavorful broth, a warm feeling spread through her stomach. Claudia couldn't resist licking the corner of her mouth with satisfaction and exclaiming, "These birthday noodles that Marcia cooked were so delicious!"
