Chapter: 731
Claudia looked at him in surprise. "How did you know?"
Shortly after she said that, she realized that she had just exposed herself. She bit her Lower lip and touched her burning cheek.
A tew seconds later, she muttered, "Is what she said true?"
With a small smile on his face, Bennett dipped his head and inquired, “Do you think it's true, Mrs. Dreskin?"
Claudia slowly replied, "I don't think my opinion is important in this matter..."
Could it be that the truth of the matter depended on how she viewed it? How was that even possible?
“You shouldn't read too many romance novels.”
“I don't read romance novels."
That offended Claudia. She spent most of her free time honing her piano skills, leaving her Little time for leisure reading.
Bennett ended up changing the topic.
“Take a nap for now. We'll Leave at five o'clock."
“Where are we going?" je‘ll go out for dinner."
"Oh, yeah."
She had almost forgotten that he had given Marcia the rest of the day off.
Claudia let out a yawn. She was about to doze off when Bennett suddenly stood up, carrying her in his arms.
She instinctively wrapped her arms around her neck and gazed at him with slightly teary eyes. "I can walk by myself, you know?”
"I thought you Liked it when I held you.”
Claudia blinked before looking away from him.
“Whatever.”
She liked hugging him, but not in this fashion.
It was too romantic for her liking.
Her face flushed when she realized that she had also wrapped her legs around her waist.
She was not dirty-minded, but their posture was a Little bit improper. Thankfully, the distance from the Living area to the bedroom was quite short.
Soon, Claudia was placed on the bench at the foot of the bed. With one hand on the armrest, she got to her feet, put her slippers on, and walked to the closet to fetch a pair of pajamas.
