Chapter: 759
The rear passenger door abruptly slid open, and Wesley climbed inside. As he settled into his seat, he glanced at Mathews, noticing the shadow of gloom that clouded his face.

“What's got you so upset?"

Mathews shifted his position in the seat, drawing the brim of his cap lower to obscure his face while remaining silent.

Wesley turned around to his assistant, who was seated behind them. "Do you have any idea what might be bothering Mathews?"

The assistant glanced at Mathews. Then he looked at Wesley and shrugged his shoulders, appearing clueless. "I have no idea," he replied innocently.

Mathews' sour mood seemed to have materialized out of nowhere.

“Didn't he shoot a promotional video with Claudia earlier today?" Mathews had been pursuing Claudia for a long time. He was trying to win her over from Bennett. So now that he had the chance to spend time with her, Wesley couldn't understand why Mathews was so upset.

“Yes.”

Unaware of Mathews' feelings for Claudia, the assistant was also puzzled by his sudden change in demeanor.

Filled with curiosity, Wesley attempted to engage Mathews in conversation. But each time he tried, he ignored him and remained silent. It was as if Mathews had sealed his lips, leaving Wesley confused and frustrated.

However, it didn't take Long before Wesley began piecing together the reason behind Mathews' somber mood.

Mathews rarely dined out, but on this particular evening when he dined out with his friend, he had coincidentally bumped into the couple, Claudia and Bennett.

Not too long ago, Bennett's earnest efforts to celebrate Claudia's birthday shocked the entire entertainment industry.

Mathews had seemed fine in the preceding days, so seeing the couple together now somehow seemed to break him.

Observing Claudia and Bennett together, Wesley finally understood the source of Mathews' gloom.

Claudia was unaware of Mathews’ feelings for her, and he even had to endure watching her flirt with her husband in front of him.

If Wesley were in Mathews' position, he imagined he would feel similarly disheartened.

Wesley couldn't help but feel sorry for Mathews.

Claudia hadn't eaten much at lunch, and the afternoon shoot had left her exhausted, leading to an unintentional overindulgence during dinner.

Bennett had already finished his meal and now sat nearby, amusedly observing her devour her food with the zeal of a squirrel.

As she finally stopped eating, Bennett looked at her with a subtle smile and asked, “Are you feeling full?"

“I'm fult!"

She glanced down at her belly. Her jeans were tighter and felt Like they were going to burst at the seams.

Taking a deep breath, Claudia attempted to hold her stomach in, but her efforts were in vain.
