Chapter: 763
Her words tumbled out in a frantic rush, but Bennett remained unswayed, his expression unreadable.

Claudia was flustered by his gaze and said, "We've barely interacted, I assure you, there's no special sentiment towards him. Besides, I Like you so much, I couldn't possibly have room for feelings for another man."

“Just how deep is your affection for me?" Bennett slightly leaned in, reducing the space separating them.

Looking at his eyes and brows closing in on her, Claudia felt her breathing become uneven.

With a timid flutter of her eyelashes, she uttered softly, "My affection for you is so expansive, it warrants digestive pills."

Her affection for him was simply through the roof!

Bennett chuckled at her peculiar yet endearing confession, teasing, “Mrs. Dreskin, you indeed have a knack for charming people with your words,"

“Have you let go of your anger?" Claudia asked hurriedly.

"Yes."

He nodded affirmatively, his eyes radiating deep affection and a tender indulgence as he remarked, “If I hadn't, Mrs. Dreskin, you might've had to ingest more digestive pills to demonstrate your Love."

Claudia was speechless.

Claudia felt a surge of relief knowing his anger had subsided.

She sat silently, contemplating before her lips parted, and she articulated a thought that had been lingering in her mind. Finally, she leaned forward.

Raising herself slightly, she tenderly embraced him and delivered a quick, shy kiss on his lips, murmuring, "I can show my love without resorting to digestive pills."

Bennett focused on her, his throat moving visibly before he responded in a hushed tone, "I am aware."

He was fully conscious of the deep affection his wife harbored for him. Right at that moment, someone walked by the car. Startled, Claudia pulled her hand back and repositioned herself in her seat.

She felt similar to a grade-schooler caught daydreaming during a lesson by an attentive teacher.

Witnessing her slightly flushed cheeks, Bennett offered a tender smile and reached over to secure her seat belt, suggesting, “Let's head home."

Feeling a bit bashful, Claudia agreed with a nod, replying, “Sure.”

As they set off, the car was embraced by the glow of vibrant lights from the surroundings. She found herself involuntarily leaning her head to observe the man at the wheel beside her, a hand reaching to her face, a vivid reminder of her recent outspoken confession of affection. She recognized her growing boldness in expressing her feelings.

It was a realization she kept to herself.

Ever since Claudia discovered Mathews might really have feelings for her, she'd been wrestling with mixed emotions. When she received his messages, her heart did a little flip.

ALL he'd sent, Luckily, was simply the final version of the promotional video they'd both worked on the other day. His other message was simple.

“The video is complete.”
