Chapter: 798
After tying his tie neatly, she reached out to straighten the collar of his shirt.

As she did so, Claudia's index finger accidentally brushed against his neck. Her hands trembled, and she hastily pulled them back.

“It's done."

As her cheeks reddened, she balled up her hands into fists.

“Thank you, Mrs. Dreskin."

Bennett smiled fondly at her.

Claudia lowered her head in embarrassment and muttered, "You should go to work now."

He chuckled and decided not to tease her more. "Alright."

Bennett gave her one more glance before turning and leaving the house. Claudia followed him out of the door. She watched until his figure disappeared from her sight before she walked back into the house.

In the Living room, she found Marcia waiting for her.

“Mrs. Dreskin, do you want to have breakfast now?"

Claudia nodded, touching her still-warm face, and said, "Yes, please.

Thank you, Marcia."

"Great! I'll set the table for you now."

Marcia beamed at her before walking to the kitchen. When September came, Bennett's workload increased noticeably. In an effort to avoid more inactivity, Claudia asked Joann to book her some commercial gigs.

The motorboat race in Khawst that Kayla mentioned before was only Less than two weeks away. Claudia tried to put it out of her mind, but a certain someone kept reminding her about it.

When Claudia received the message from Kayla, she and Joann were talking on the phone about an upcoming show abroad that would be held at the end of the month.

She was startled when her phone vibrated. At first, she thought it was @ spam message and was about to delete it when the word “Townsend” caught her attention. Instantly, she grimaced.

She clicked on the message that read, "Miss Marshall, I heard that Townsend bought a Yamaha AR195 motorboat last month. If I'm not mistaken, it's for his sweetheart. You should keep up with the news."

The message came from an unregistered number, but Claudia knew who sent it.

She pursed her Lips. She could not hear what Joann was saying from the other end of the line anymore.

Joann realized that Claudia was no longer listening to her when she received no response from the latter. She frowned and called out, "Claudia?"

At the mention of her name, Claudia snapped out of her reverie. "I'm sorry. I just got a bit distracted. What were you saying again, Joann?"

Joann was not with her, but she could tell that something was wrong. In a worried tone, she asked, "Are you okay?”
