Chapter: 816
“It really doesn't hurt." After saying that, she raised her head again to Look him in the eye and show him that she was telling the truth.
She was not lying. It stung a little bit where the wound was, but it was bearable.
Claudia, however, did not want Bennett to think that she was being a whining baby, so she chose to say that it did not hurt.
Therefore, she was technically telling the truth.
Bennett stared at her determined eyes before sighing in defeat. "Fine.
I guess it's good that you're not hurt.”
He said that while stroking her head affectionately and sounding utterly fond. He sounded like he was talking to a child.
Claudia's cheeks reddened even more. She reached out, gently pushed his hand away, and said, “I'll go wash my face and brush my teeth now. Aurora and I will go shopping today."
With that, she got out of bed, put her slippers on, and hurried into the bathroom.
Bennett glanced at the wrist that Claudia had grabbed and smiled.
He then brought his fingers up to his lips. Smiling regretfully, he muttered, "It's a shame I woke up a Little late."
It seemed that his wife had learned how to steal a kiss now.
In the bathroom, Claudia looked in the mirror and saw the wound on the corner of her mouth.
Not only was the skin cracked, but it was also bleeding. The wound was not particularly big, but it was still noticeable.
No wonder Bennett asked her if it was hurting.
Claudia screamed internally.
Why did she have to get such a wound now of all times?
She rubbed her face and sighed. Then, she started brushing her teeth. The blood from the cut on the corner of her mouth had been washed away, but the wound was still a vibrant crimson that stood out from the rest of her lips.
Claudia's head hung low in embarrassment as she walked out of the bathroom. She sat down in front of the dressing table, reached for a tube of red lipstick, and applied an adequate amount to her lips, concealing the wound.
She examined her Lips in the mirror before sighing in relief.
Bennett entered from the balcony, glanced at her lips, and smiled meaningfully.
“Are you only going to wear Lipstick today?"
Claudia's eyes widened a little.
He could actually tell that she was not wearing any makeup other than Lipstick?
