Chapter: 846
When the elevator door closed, he turned to Kayla, who had been silent ever since she entered the elevator, and smiled at her. "Don't you think so, too, Miss Bryant?"
Kayla did not respond.
Duncan clicked his tongue and repeated, "Don't you think so, too?"
At last, Kayla reluctantly replied, "Yes."
Duncan then remarked, “By the way, I thought you knew who Bennett's first love was. Why did you look so surprised when you saw Claudia earlier?"
Kayla answered through gritted teeth, “I didn't know that CC was actually Claudia.”
“Oh.”
With a knowing smile on his face, Duncan looked away from the woman. It seemed that Kayla had made a fool of herself this time.
How intriguing!
Duncan fought down the urge to laugh out loud.
Even when Claudia entered the room, the blush from Duncan's compliments was still visible on her cheeks.
Truthfully, she did not intend to brag about her achievement, but she could not help but do so when she remembered how haughty Kayla had been before.
She wanted to put her in her place.
Claudia grabbed a bottle of mineral water to quench her thirst, but she could not seem to unscrew the cap of the bottle.
Bennett held out his hand and said, "Give it to me."
Claudia glanced at him and shook her head. "I can open it myself."
She could drive a motorboat, so opening a bottle of water should be easy for her.
However, the bottle of water in Claudia's hand seemed to be angry with her because no matter how many times she tried, she could not open it.
Soon, a patch of red appeared on her palm. Embarrassed and slightly indignant, she finally handed the bottle of water to Bennett.
Bennett grabbed it and unscrewed the cap easily.
Claudia scowled.
Had she gotten so weak that she could not even open a bottle of water now?
She retrieved it, took a large swig of water, and then nearly choked. Bennett snatched the bottle from her and rubbed her back with his other hand.
“Slow down. No one is going to steal your water."
