Chapter: 849
“Honey, your husband is just a normal man."
Claudia frowned in confusion. "Huh?"
She did not say he was abnormal, did she?
Instead of elaborating further using words, Bennett grabbed her hand and brought it to the lower part of his body.
As soon as Claudia touched it, she jerked her hand away as if it had been scalded.
Her cheeks colored, and she scooted backward. "I'm sorry! I'm going to sleep now."
Bennett reached for her wrist to stop her from fidgeting. "Just give me a minute. I'll calm down eventually."
Claudia froze in place, her body completely still. She did not even try to breathe too deeply.
The clock in the room ticked away. After what seemed Like an eternity, Bennett finally let go of her wrist.
Claudia immediately rolled onto her back on the bed, brought her clasped hands onto her chest, closed her eyes, and muttered, “I'm going to sleep."
Bennett stared at her and smiled. He then re-covered Claudia with the blanket she had thrown back.
The room's air conditioning was turned on. She would definitely feel cold later.
Claudia began counting sheep inside her head. She might get herself into trouble again if she stayed awake. She felt sleepy earlier, and the drowsiness momentarily faded simply because of the emotions swirling within her.
Eventually, though, she managed to calm down enough to fall asleep.
Slowly, the person next to him drifted off to sleep, and the room Lost its romantic ambiance. Bennett stared at Claudia for a while before closing his eyes.
Truthfully, his usual routine did not include a siesta, but it wasn't a problem whenever Claudia was around.
A short while later, the room's low temperature prompted Claudia's subconscious need for something warm to cuddle with while sleeping.
Shivering a little, she turned to her side and curled up into the fetal position. She pulled the blanket closer to herself and accidentally touched Bennett's hand.
His warm skin made her feel relaxed, and she moved closer to him so that she could hug his arm.
Bennett opened his eyes and looked at Claudia, who was clinging to him like an octopus. A glint of amusement Lit up his eyes again.
His wife was really cute.
When Claudia opened her eyes, she saw nothing but whiteness.
She reached up to wipe the sleep from her eyes. As her blurry vision cleared, she looked up and was greeted by a pair of familiar black eyes. Still somewhat disoriented, she blinked.
“Are you awake now?"
