Chapter: 869
The elevator doors sealed shut and started moving upward. Claudia was engrossed in the changing digits on the floor indicator, silently keeping track.
Out of nowhere, a hesitant voice broke the silence. "Excuse me, but are you cc?"
Upon hearing this, Claudia was taken aback. She turned to face the woman who had gathered the courage to approach her and nodded, saying, “Yes, that's me."
When she heard her words, the woman's face obviously Lit up. "Can I take a picture with you? I'm a fan of motorboating too and have followed your races for ages. I intended to ask earlier today, but noticed you and your husband leaving ahead of everyone. I didn't want to intrude..."
As she explained, embarrassment colored her demeanor, yet she continued, fueled by admiration, "I've admired you since high school, when I stumbled upon one of your competition videos. You opened my eyes to what women can achieve in motorboating. I respect you a lot, CC. Could I please have a photo with you?"
Touched by the sincere expression in the woman's eager eyes, Claudia couldn't find it in her to decline.
At that moment, the elevator door slid open. Claudia inquired, “Is this the floor you're staying on?"
The eager fan nodded, quickly adding, "But it's fine, I can come to whichever floor you're on!"
With a warm smile, Claudia reassured her, “No worries, we can take the photos right here."
She tugged gently at Bennett's sleeve, proposing, “Let's step out for a bit, alright?"
Affectionately ruffling her hair, Bennett guided her out without a word.
Seeing this, the woman quickly followed out of the elevator.
As Claudia picked out a spot, she asked, “Is this spot alright?"
“No problem!"
The woman darted over, a hopeful gleam in her eye as she asked, "CC, can I hug you?"
A bit sheepish but agreeable, Claudia nodded, “Sure.
The woman's eyes and eyebrows suddenly lit up with a smile. She turned to her boyfriend and said, "Make sure to take some great photos of us!"
Bennett stood a bit away, offering them space, his patience evident as they posed for pictures.
The woman was considerate and only snapped two pictures.
Before parting ways, the woman kindly inquired if she could share the photos on Facebook.
Claudia saw no issue with it, giving her consent.
“Of course!"
Overwhelmed with gratitude, the fan gushed, “CC, you're truly wonderful! You and your husband are such a dream couple. Wishing you everlasting happiness!"
Gazing back at Bennett who was holding onto her luggage patiently, Claudia radiated happiness as she expressed her gratitude, “Thank you. We need to head off now.”
