Chapter: 882
Since they needed to get to the railway station before 1 p.m., so Claudia requested the room service to be delivered at 11:30 a.m.
The couple had just finished their meal, and it was only 12:15 p.m Just as Claudia was settling in for a few moments of relaxation, her phone rang. It was Amalia on the other end of the line.
"CC, I've managed to distract some of the reporters. But there's still a significant amount gathered at the front entrance. However, at the back entrance, only a few reporters are present. I've already arranged for a car to pick you and your husband up from there," Amalia said urgently.
Although Amalia had never been in a situation like this before, she was relieved that she had been able to handle the circumstances as well as she did.
“Okay, I understand. Thanks for your help, Amalia. I'll see you next time," Claudia replied gratefully.
“Okay, be careful on the way back home!" After hanging up the phone, Claudia turned to Bennett. "There are too many reporters downstairs. We'll have to Leave by the back door, okay?”
“Sure, whatever you think is best," Bennett replied, nodding in agreement.
After packing their belongings and suitcases, the couple headed out to make their way to the station.
As soon as Claudia stepped out of the room, she felt the urge to go to the toilet. Embarrassed, she glanced at Bennett and said, "I need to use the bathroom. I won't be long."
She quickly turned around and rushed back into the room.
After a few minutes, Claudia emerged from the bathroom, shaking the water from her hands. She hurried towards the door, eager to continue their journey.
However, in her haste not to be late, she didn't take notice of her surroundings and suddenly stumbled.
Bennett was waiting at the door for Claudia when he noticed her suddenly Lunge forward as if about to fall. His eyes widened in alarm when he realized what was happening.
“Watch out!"
He lunged towards Claudia and caught her before she hit the floor. While he helped her regain balance, the item that caused Claudia to trip clattered to the floor beside them.
As Claudia rose from Bennett's supporting arms and glanced at him to express her gratitude, she noticed he was focusing on something else.
She followed his gaze to the source.
The trash can that caused Claudia to stumble fell to the side, scattering its contents across the floor.
To her horror, the bag containing the sexy Lingerie set that she threw away had also fallen out of the trash can. The black lace bra hung out of the edge of the paper bag.
Claudia's face turned bright red, and her eyes widened.
He glanced at her, noticing her discomfort, and asked, “Don't you want it?"
Lowering her head, she felt awkward and mumbled, "No. They weren't mine to begin with.”
His lips curled into a knowing smile. "I see." Then he changed the subject. "Did you sprain your ankle?”
Claudia felt embarrassed and answered, jo, I'm fine." She was eager to move on from the awkward moment.
