Chapter: 904
"You're absolutely right, Mrs. Dreskin. My extended stay abroad has indeed shaped a perspective different from the ones back home. I've learned a lot today. I have some plans with my friends to attend to. But we can surely hang out sometime, Mrs. Dreskin.
Claudia met her words with a pleasant smile, agreeing, "Sure."
As Kayla returned the smile and pivoted to leave, the forced grin vanished swiftly from her face,
Aurora, who had been observing the exchange, found it difficult to restrain from applauding Claudia's handling of the situation.
However, she understood that she shouldn't make things too challenging for Kayla, so she decided to bear with it.
“Great job, Cece! How come I never noticed your knack for sharp replies?" A bit sheepish, Claudia responded, "Perhaps you were too good a master?"
Contemplating a bit, Aurora agreed with Claudia's reasoning, saying, “You might be right. Next time something this gratifying happens, make sure to have me with you!"
She enjoyed watching these fake bitches getting humiliated and unable to respond,
Eyeing the place where Kayla had retreated, Claudia expressed her disdain with a snort, commenting, “She really has no sense of shame.”
Kayla was trying so hard to make herself look less humiliated. Her thoughts were different?
She was merely blabbering!
No one else could possibly share her vile mindset!
Acknowledging inwardly, Claudia felt a sense of pleasure this time around.
Recalling her anxiety over Bennett's so-called first love just a couple of weeks ago, Claudia suddenly perceived her approach towards Kayla today as rather gentle.
In the midst of her distraction, Aurora blurted out excitedly, “Hold on, Cece, could it be that you are actually Bennett's special one?"
Claudia was rendered speechless. Was Aurora also crazy as Kayla?
As Aurora pondered over the idea, it began to seem increasingly believable to her.
“I am serious! When Kayla was bragging earlier, she genuinely didn't seem to be making up a story!"
Hearing that, Claudia pursed her lips and hesitated, "Really?" Did Bennett like her mask? The mere thought seemed downright absurd!
She thought to herself in confusion.
Kayla's expression clouded as she walked away, making her friend frown in confusion.
Claudia had just implied that she had no sense of shame, and Kayla's retreating gave the impression that she was guilty and could not refute Claudia's accusation.
Her friend stared at Kayla for a moment. Then, after a while of hesitation, she said, “Kayla, I didn*t know you had a grudge against Mrs. Dreskin."
Kayla could never tell her friend the embarrassing truth about what she had done.
