Chapter: 913
Claudia gave a nod, “She did. Well, it might not be her, Maybe the person I saw just looked like her,"

Bennett then turned to her and looked her in the eye.

“Don't worry, Mrs. Dreskin, I'm not Anthony."

He was not as foolish as Anthony. Therefore, he would not make the same mistake as he did.

His words caused Claudia to flush almost instantly.

Claudia's eyes softened. Even though Bennett had misunderstood her meaning, his words nevertheless left a pleasant feeling in her chest.

She bit her lower lip and eyed the cup of smoothie she was holding.

“Do you want to drink more?"

The green light ahead of them abruptly turned red, Bennett slowly pulled over and replied, "Sure."

This time, Claudia did not need him to say it before she guided the straw into his mouth.

While Bennett drank, she explained, "Actually, I'm not worried about her seducing you..."

Claudia had to pause because the word "seduce" was a little embarrassing to say. Once she collected herself, she continued, “I've been going against Delilah for so long that I've become familiar with her personality. If she's really back, she'll definitely come after me. I don't really care if she does, though. There's not much she can do to hurt me, anyway." Over the past few years, Delilah had made life tough for Claudia because of Anthony, but she did not really do anything to hurt Claudia.

The reason she did not want to continue her relationship with Anthony was because of Anthony himself, not Delilah.

If anything, she should thank the woman for revealing Anthony's true colors to her.

Anthony was an indecisive man. Even if Delilah was not in the picture, there would still be plenty of other ladies who could easily seduce him. After all, the problem lay in him.

He had never been good at handling issues of this nature. When it came to his girlfriend, the person he should have sacrificed the most for, he chose to hold back on her instead of showering her with his limitless love and compassion.

Claudia was Jace's daughter. She was his pride and joy. She had developed into an exceptionally bright young woman.

She was proud of herself, and she knew she deserved better.

The world was full of people of varying personalities. Perhaps there was someone out there who could put up with Anthony's personality, but that person was definitely not Claudia.

Being the second option and constantly having to beg for attention were things she could not tolerate.

Claudia just wanted to make sure that the person she saw earlier was Delilah because she was curious. Because that would be so shameless of Delilah if she was really back.

Bennett smirked upon hearing her words.

“You're not really afraid of anyone, are you, my dear wife?"

ALL of a sudden, a playful smile spread across Claudia's face.
