Chapter: 927
Claudia pulled out some tissues from the box to clean the orange juice off her palm.

The door to the room was pushed open, and Bennett, who had taken off his shoes, strode over to her,

Claudia reached for the last remaining orange wedge on the platter. Once Bennett stopped in front of her, she stood up and brought the fruit to his lips. ry this. It's sweet.

Bennett let her put the orange into his mouth and sat down on the sofa, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her down with him.

With an expectant look on her face, Claudia watched him chew and swallow the fruit before asking, "Does it taste good?"

"Yes

Bennett reached out to run his hand through her hair and asked, "What did the restaurant owner say?"

Claudia grabbed the recorder pen and replied, "I recorded the conversation." The man took the device and pressed the play button.

The recording did not go on for very long; it was over in less than ten minutes.

The more Bennett listened to it, the dimmer the light in his eyes became.

Before they could start discussing the matter, Marcia entered the room and announced, "Mr. and Mrs. Dreskin, dinner is ready.

"He"ll talk later. Let's have dinner Bennett turned to Claudia and said, first."

“Okay.”

The matter could be easily resolved, so there was no need to discuss it immediately.

With that in mind, Claudia and Bennett went to the dining room.

Claudia did not give it too much thought, as she was preoccupied with more pressing matters. Preparing for a trip to another country to perform at a show the following week was one of them.

However, when nightfall arrived, something unexpected happened.

After dinner with her coworkers, Aurora was on her way home when she came upon a short video uploaded under the official account of the popular restaurant while surfing TikTok.

By the time she finished watching it, her hands were trembling in anger. Immediately, she forwarded it to Claudia.

Claudia had just emerged from the bathroom when she saw Aurora's message. She thought her friends sent her a funny video like she always did, but the moment she played the video, she knew she was wrong.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please be informed that we are understaffed, and customer service suffers at times as a result; we sincerely regret any offense we may have caused to our valued customers. Despite recent reports concerning the questionable quality of the food served at our restaurant, we chose to remain optimistic because we believed there were more good people than bad in the world. However, what happened today made us understand that things are more complicated than we had imagined." Immediately following the introduction, a clip showing Claudia, Aurora, and the restaurant owner having an argument was patched in.

Their faces were pixelated on the video, but the conversation had been edited to make it look like the two women had done a lot of work over the past few days solely for the sake of money.

As expected, most of the comments in the comments section were criticizing Claudia and Aurora for being despicable for the sake of money.

It was obvious that the restaurant owner hired a PR professional to boost the video's popularity. By the time Claudia found it, it had already received over ten thousand shares.
