Chapter: 928
Claudia was enraged, but she remained composed.
Instead of alerting the enemy, she screen-recorded the video and took some screenshots of the malicious comments, captions of the accounts that reposted the video, and the replies of the restaurant's account.
Shortly after she was done, she got a flurry of messages from Aurora. The first message consisted of two screenshots.
Then, Aurora said, “Cece, look! I'm really speechless right now. The staff of that restaurant are so shameless! They even hired someone to make sure the video would go viral. This was all over the Internet!
The second message said, "Shit! I'm so angry
A scowl forming on Claudia's face, she replied, "Let's keep screenshots of the comments and the trending list. They'll come in handy once we file a lawsuit later."
On the other end of the line, Aurora's eyes lit up.
"You're right. We definitely have to win this case."
The issue was no longer about disagreements over food safety.
After logging in to her secondary Twitter account, Claudia discovered that the issue had climbed to the eighteenth spot on the trending list.
It was not particularly high on the list, but there were a lot of people who were talking about it already.
Claudia was reading some tweets when Bennett walked into the room. Upon seeing the frown on her face, he asked, “What's wrong?"
She handed her phone to him and hissed, “They've gone too far! Without realizing it, her voice had taken on a plaintive tone.
Bennett cast his gaze downward. Claudia's face was a little flushed because she had just gotten out of the shower.
His Adam's apple rolled up and down as he swallowed. Shaking off the inappropriate thoughts in his mind, he approached her, took the phone, and sat down on the sofa.
“I'll check what happened."
"Please do.
Claudia pressed her lips together and waited patiently for him to finish watching the video.
The video was only three minutes long.
When he was done, Bennett reached out and gently stroked her cheek.
"How do you want to resolve this, Cece?"
Claudia looked at him contemplatively before answering, "This is defamation. Also, our right to privacy has been violated. Although our faces were pixelated on the video, someone removed the pixel effect and uploaded it in the comments section."
A glint of coldness flashed in Bennett's eyes.
“I'll give Jackson a ring and tell him to get a lawyer to handle this issue first thing tomorrow."
