Chapter: 948
Joann had booked Claudia business class and opted for economy class for herself.
She offered to upgrade her seat, but Joann declined, feeling it unnecessary for the short two-hour flight.
So, Claudia had no choice but to travel business class by herself. She hadn't slept well the previous night and planned to catch up on some sleep before arriving in Rarc.
Today's flight to Rarc was heavily booked, with the economy and business class sections of the plane almost completely full, leaving only a handful of unoccupied seats.
As soon as they boarded the plane, Gustavo immediately noticed Claudia, who had already taken her seat.
“What a coincidence! The beauty is sitting in front of me," Gustavo remarked.
Xavier stole a glance at Claudia, who was already comfortably seated. Even though she wasn't wearing any makeup, her radiant skin, rosy lips, and white teeth made her stand out.
He averted his gaze and turned to Gustavo, who had already taken his seat.
Xavier didn't want to bother arguing with him, so he sat in the aisle seat.
After sending a message to Bennett, Claudia switched her phone to flight mode, planning to catch up on some sleep after takeoff.
Joann had thoughtfully provided Claudia with an eye mask to help her sleep better during the flight.
Claudia glanced at the middle aged man seated next to her. Judging by his business attire, he appeared to be on a business trip and was too distracted to notice her. As soon as he belted himself in, he pulled out his sleek laptop and began typing away.
Smiling politely, she looked away to avoid appearing rude by staring. Just as she shifted her attention, she heard someone seemingly calling out to her.
However, that person was addressing her as “beautiful young lady," a title Claudia wasn't too keen on acknowledging.
Gustavo persisted, calling out to get her attention. But Claudia remained unresponsive. He then resorted to using the book on the seat and gently tapped her shoulder.
Feeling the tap, Claudia turned to see who it was.
“Hi, beautiful young lady
Claudia frowned. She had no desire to engage with the person addressing her in that manner, so she turned around, ignoring the remark.
At this time, the plane's public address system reminded passengers that they were about to take off and that passengers should fasten their seat belts and stow away the tables or other items in use.
Gustavo was about to talk to Claudia again but had to sit down.
However, he remained unperturbed, fully aware of the two-hour flight ahead, assuring himself ample time to approach her for a conversation.
He turned to his friend, Xavier.
“What's up with you? You're usually enthusiastic when you see an attractive woman. Why are you so reserved today?"
Xavier scrunched his face up at him and replied in an accusatory tone, “Are you sure it's me who you're describing and not yourself?"
