Chapter: 979
"So, should we join them?"
"Do you mind if we join them, Cece?"
“I don't," she responded.
She had met Breck and their other friends before, after all.
Then, a thought flashed through Claudia's mind.
“Would it be alright if I invited Aurora to join us?" she asked.
“Absolutely, if Miss Haywood is available, invite her," Bennett replied.
Pulling out her phone, Claudia said, “I'll let her know."
This was a golden opportunity to play matchmaker for her friend, and she wasn't about to squander it.
While the chances of Breck or any of Bennett's friends falling for
Aurora were slim, they knew a wide circle of people, some of whom might be a good fit for Aurora.
By expanding Aurora's social circle, finding a boyfriend for her should become easier.
Giving herself a mental thumbs-up, Claudia wasted no time. She found
Aurora's name in her messaging app and got straight to the point.
“Aurora, Bennett and I are heading out for some late-night snacks.
Would you like to come along?"
Aurora, who had just wrapped up her own dinner, was flabbergasted.
"Really? You two want me to join you for a late-night meal? What's the occasion? Are you going to make me feel envious of your love life?" Aurora remarked.
"Nope! I'm not going. Absolutely not!"
A bit embarrassed, Claudia clarified, "It's not just Bennett and me.
Breck and a few others are also coming along. Remember how you mentioned wanting to be in a relationship? How do you expect to be in a relationship if you don't meet new people?"
Aurora replied, “But I don't really move in the same circles as
Breck and his friends. It seems like a long shot."
Claudia countered, "Well, even if a relationship with Breck or one of his buddies is unlikely, they have a broad social network, right?"
