Chapter: 985
"Drunk people don't admit that they're drunk."
Claudia hummed.
"I'm not drunk yet. But I think I'm going to be."
She felt happy for some reason. And as she looked at Bennett, she felt an overwhelming urge to embrace and kiss him.
Now that she had thought of the idea, she could not shake it off.
She swallowed, bit the inside of her cheek, and forced herself to avert her gaze.
"Let's go home."
Bennett unscrewed a bottle of water and offered it to her.
“Here, drink some water."
"Okay."
Claudia grabbed the bottle and took a sip.
Bennett buckled his seatbelt and started the car.
Claudia drank some more water before putting the cap back on the bottle. She then watched Bennett, who was driving beside her.
Bennett felt his heart beat faster as the woman's gaze on him intensified.
The traffic was light at the moment. And it only took them less than twenty minutes to arrive home.
Claudia set down the bottle of water she was holding and watched
Bennett as he undid his seatbelt. It was after that that she realized to unfasten her own seat belt.
She opened the door. But she did not step out of the car immediately.
Instead, she waited for Bennett to get out first.
Bennett walked around the car to the passenger seat and caught her content smile. His heart skipped a bit at the sight of it.
“Why aren't you getting out of the car, Claudia?"
With a grin on her face, Claudia chirped, “I want a hug from you!"
As she spoke, she held out her hands.
A fond expression made its way onto Bennett's face as he regarded her.
