Chapter: 984
She was momentarily taken aback before realizing that Bennett had peeled some crawfish for her. Slowly, a grin spread across her face.

“Thank you."

Breck glanced meaningfully at Bennett.

Bennett wordlessly took his gloves off and checked the time on his watch.

Breck cocked an eyebrow when he saw the wristwatch the other man was wearing. He considered asking him why he suddenly changed his watch but decided against it when he remembered that Claudia and Aurora were with them.

Aurora initially claimed that she would only drink one can of beer, but she ended up consuming two while she was eating. When she popped the top on the third can, she chugged a large mouthful of beer at once.

When she noticed that Claudia was staring at her, she immediately assumed that the woman wanted to drink as well.

“Cece, do you want some?"

In any case, Bennett was with Claudia. Nothing bad would happen to her, even if she got hammered.

The beer also had a negligible amount of alcohol in it. It would not be enough to get her drunk, even if she was a light drinker.

Claudia bit her lower lip before replying, "No, thanks."

Every time she drank even the slightest amount of alcohol, she ended up embarrassing herself.

"Don't worry. The beer has almost no alcohol in it." While she was talking, Aurora opened a can and set it in front of Claudia.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Claudia reached for it and drank from it.

The beer did not taste good for her, but drinking while chatting with everyone made the experience tolerable.

Because Claudia was adamant about not getting drunk, she only took small sips of the beer. After a while, she raised the can to her mouth to drink, only to find that it was empty.

She had consumed an entire beer can without realizing it.

It was already ten o'clock in the evening when the four parted.

Because Breck drank alcohol and could not drive, he called a designated driver to drive him home.

Aurora was going to take a cab home. But Breck insisted on taking her home instead because he did not feel that it was safe for a woman like her to take a cab alone.

Claudia was a touch tipsy after she drank an entire can of beer. Now, the booze was starting to take effect. And she was starting to feel lightheaded.

She fastened her seat belt in the car and turned to look at Bennett when he entered the driver's seat. She groaned and furrowed her brows.

"Bennett, I think I'm drunk."

Bennett chuckled in amusement.
