Upon reflection, he had a hunch about who could have done this to him.
"There's no one else capable of this but him. Did you complete the task I assigned to you?" Jaylen attempted to move, but his entire body ached.
Even though there were no visible injuries on his skin, his internal organs had suffered damage.
The assistant confirmed, "Yes."
Jaylen cracked a smile.
“This time, I need to outmaneuver him to avoid being on the back foot again. I've been dealing with him long enough to know his tactics."
The assistant, concerned for his health, suggested, "Sir, you've been bedridden for a week. Your injuries are serious. Perhaps you should recover fully before seeking vengeance."
Jaylen scowled.

The assistant caught on.
“Sir, are you implying that Isaac hired someone to assault you?"
“Exactly! Why haven't we apprehended the man yet? Because Isaac has it all planned out." Jaylen's face turned cold.
"I won't suffer for nothing."
Sunlight graced the morning with its brilliant light.
Isaac made his exit after breakfast.
The task of looking after the little ones fell to Camila, who remained indoors.
A window of chance presented itself for Rowena to engage her daughter in conversation.
“Mila!" She seemed to be on the cusp of expressing something but then hesitated.
Camila responded, "Mom, if you've got something on your mind, let it out."
The primary reason for Rowena's hesitancy stemmed from her concern for Camila's feelings, fearing that her words might damage her self-esteem.
