Chapter: 1623
Being stared at by Jaylen, Camila felt so uneasy. “Don't look at me like that!"
Ignoring her reaction, Jaylen turned around and nonchalantly sat back on the sofa.
He told Harland, “You can go back to your work. I don't need you here anymore."
Harland was puzzled. "So you know Camila? Then why did you ask me to help you see her?"
"Don't you see that she's very hostile towards me? There's some misunderstanding between us. She didn't want to see me, so I asked for your help. Thanks for your assistance this time.”
Harland glanced at Camila and said, “If there's a misunderstanding, you should talk it out. I'm leaving now."
"No..." Camila tried to stop him.
However, Harland interjected, “Could you possibly clear the air and resolve the misunderstanding? After all, we're all acquainted.
Wouldn't it be nice to be friends?"
Camila shook her head. "I can't be friends with Jaylen. We are enemies..."
"Ah, so there are misunderstandings." Jaylen motioned Harland to leave. "You may leave now, Harland."
With that, Harland, offering no further words, turned and exited.
Camila called after him, "Harland!"
He still didn't turn around.
Jaylen smirked. “Stop shouting. It's useless. He won't believe you."
Camila glared at him. "What do you want to do now?"
“An eye for an eye, obviously. I'll do to Isaac what he has done to me. He cares about you, doesn't he?"
Camila regained her composure gradually. “So, what's your plan for me?"
“Make him suffer."
Jaylen's grin took a grim turn. “Do you know how he treated me?"
