Chapter: 1727
Camila then took a taxi and returned home.
By the time she arrived, her family had already finished dinner.
She washed her hands and went to check on the kids.
Joe, still a little boy, often treated his younger brother like a plaything. Whenever he had the chance, he'd lay at the head of the bed, gazing at his sibling and occasionally pinching his cheeks.
Dressed in his pajamas, Joe was adamant about holding his Little brother as they slept.
Rowena, seeing no harm, let him stay in bed for a bit.
But she wouldn't allow him to sleep there all night, fearing he might accidentally harm the baby.
"Mommy!" Joe exclaimed with joy as he saw Camila, rushing into her embrace.
Gently stroking his head, Camila asked, "Have you been behaving while I was away?"
After a moment of thought, Joe replied, "Yes."
He then added in a gentle tone, “I helped grandma with brother."
"My Little one is all grown up," Camila said with affection.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed.
She pulled out her phone and answered the call.
It was Alick on the other end, telling her that Isaac had too much to drink.
“Where is he?" Camila inquired.
After Alick gave her the location, Camila ended the call.
She slipped her phone into her pocket and embraced her son. "Get some sleep, sweetie. I'm going to get daddy."
Joe nodded, showing his obedience. "Be careful, mommy."
"Will do," she assured him.
