Chapter: 1750
He was not afraid of Isaac as usual.

Isaac was seriously contemplating throwing him out.

“From now on, handle your own problems by yourself. Why drag her into this? She's a delicate woman, and what help could she possibly offer? If I hadn't unexpectedly returned and encountered her today, she might have been here by herself. I don't know what would happen then. Don't you consider the repercussions of your actions? Have you lost your senses?"

Forrest hastily clarified, "It wasn't me who called her. They seized my phone and made the call."

Isaac was skeptical. “Out of all your contacts, they chose to call her?"

Forrest hung his head in shame.

He felt too guilty to meet Isaac's gaze.

Isaac demanded sternly, “Well? Explain!"

“I contemplated calling Mila, but I refrained after finding her number. I just put my phone away in my pocket. So, when they grabbed it, her number was the first thing they saw."

He had intended to ask about Laura from Camila.

Yet, he had resolved to push Laura from his thoughts.

Thus, he suppressed the urge to contact Camila.

He promptly apologized, "I acknowledge my mistake this time. It won't happen again."

"If there is a next time, our friendship is over."

With that, he climbed into the car with Camila.

Unabashed, Forrest followed them, taking a seat in the back. Leaning forward, he implored, “Isn't that a bit harsh? I've apologized, haven't 1? After all, we've been together for so long. How could you be so cruel?"

Isaac retorted, exasperated, "Who has been with you?"

“Well, I mean we have been friends for so long!" Forrest immediately corrected himself.

Yet Isaac remained unforgiving.

“Haven't you learned anything from your past mistakes? Why are you still so reckless?"
