Chapter: 1766
Camila had never laid eyes on him previously.
She also verified that he didn't belong to the research center staff.
“He's here to see you," said Hyman.
Camila arched an eyebrow and asked, “Is he looking for me?"
“Yes, I spotted him asking for you in the hallway, so I brought him over."
Camila gave the man a once-over and asked, "You were looking for me?"
The man extended a parcel file bag towards her, asking, “Are you Camila Haynes?"
Camila gave a confirming nod.
"I'm just the courier. Could you sign for this, please?"
"Who handed it to me?" Camila asked.
“I'm not sure."
Camila then signed her name and accepted the package.
She promptly opened it.
Inside was a letter.
A thought crossed her mind: Could this be from Laura?
Yet, the handwriting on the envelope wasn't familiar.
She opened the envelope and began to read the letter.
The content of the letter was; "Dear sister, I've left. Please don't try to find me. I'm all grown up now and I can take care of myself.
I know you'll be shocked reading this letter. But I need you to know, I've really thought this through. The advice you gave me, I took them to heart. I also believe it makes sense. I came across a saying online, ‘If you love a butterfly that doesn't love you, you'll never catch it because it can fly. The only thing you can do is cultivate flowers and grass, hoping it stays.' This saying is similar to what you told me about needing to excel oneself to attract the love you desire. I'm not sure if I can do it. But I want to tell you that I have really made up my mind. To start my own business. I won't return until I'm successful. I'm aware that with your support, success might come easier. Because you could ask my brother-in-law to help me. But I don't want any help. I need to test my own capabilities and see if I can make it on my own in the business world. If I fail, I might be too ashamed to return. But don't worry.
I won't harm myself. I'll make sure I'm okay. If I really fail to start my own business, I'll find a job. But I'm not giving up on myself. The reason why I didn't inform you through a phone call or text message is that I wanted to leave you something to remember me by. I've always wanted to say how grateful I am to have you as my sister. If only we were siblings with the same parents, we might have a better relationship. Goodbye, sister. —Aldrin"
