Chapter: 1775
But regardless of his busy schedule, couldn't he spare time for a wedding?
With enough money, organizing things was easy.
They could simply hire others to handle everything. As long as the bride and groom showed up on time, everything would be fine.
Annis could manage the specifics on her own. She wasn't working, so she had the time for it.
Camila took Isaac's coat as he removed it and hung it up. She mentioned, "I met Annis today."
Isaac nodded in response.
He remained silent.
Camila glanced at him and added, "She's expecting a baby."
At this, Isaac looked up at her.
"She's keen on getting married, but Alick only wants to register the marriage and isn't eager for a wedding right now. Is the company swamped with work? Are you too busy to spare time?" Camila inquired.
Isaac instantly understood the implication behind her question.
“What do you need me to do?"
"Could you give Alick some time off for the wedding?" Camila quickly clarified, "I mean, if the company workload allows it..."
"I understand. I'll talk to him about it."
"How do you feel about Annis?" Camila tried to ask him about his attitude towards Annis.
She was curious to know if he saw her as a sister.
Isaac gave her a probing look and asked, "What are you getting at?"
"We should give them a gift when they get married, right? And whose side should we take, Alick's or Annis's?"
As Isaac headed towards Joe's room, Camila informed him the boy was already asleep.
He paused and said, “You decide. I'll go check on our son."
