Chapter: 1786
Putting her own safety aside, she boldly stepped forward, seizing one of them. "I'm Camila. If you're after me, release the person inside. She's not Camila."
The driver intervened, causing the man to release Camila's grip and jump into the car.
"You've got the wrong person!" As Camila prepared to advance, the driver halted her, cautioning, "It's too dangerous. Don't go there."
Annis writhed in the car, pleading, "Please, let me go."
Fear dripped from her voice.
This was an entirely new experience for her.
From childhood, she had been well cared for.
Despite being adopted, her parents showered her with love.
This was still uncharted territory for her.
Fear painted her face a ghostly pale.
"Annis!"
Camila exclaimed, her worry evident.
“Camila, save me..."
The door slammed shut, and the car sped away.
The driver, bloodied and battered, instructed Camila, "Get in the car and go."
Observing the driver's grim condition, Camila urged, "Go to the hospital."
In the nick of time, Alick arrived, sprinting toward them.
Not seeing Annis, Alick asked anxiously, "Where is she?"
Camila, gripping the driver's arm, tried to remain composed, yet her face was ghostly white. "She's been taken. We need to find her quickly!"
Alick, pulling out his phone, inquired, "What did the car look Like? Did you catch the license plate number?"
