Chapter: 1832
Instead of entering, she paused to assist Forrest.
The door of the room beside him was partially open.
It appeared he was so drunk that he ended up lying in the hallway rather than making it into his room.
Laura managed to get him onto the bed and made sure he was comfortable.
Just as she was about to leave, Forrest caught her arm. “Laura, please stay!"
Laura's expression turned into a frown. "You're not drunk..."
Before she could say more, she found herself pulled onto the bed.
Forrest kissed her, murmuring, "Laura, I've missed you so much.."
It was clear to Laura that he was heavily drunk.
He called her name because he was talking in his dream instead of recognizing her.
A chill ran through her as her clothing was hastily removed by him.
Laura gazed at the man who repeatedly murmured her name, even in his drunken state.
She gradually stopped trying to push him away.
After all the distance she had put between them, fate still brought them back together.
Perhaps it was meant to be.
They made love all night.
His actions showed he really missed her.
Laura went out to buy a bowl of porridge the next morning.
Forrest was probably feeling pretty rough with a hangover.
His voice was rough from the night before.
