Chapter: 1834
Roy chimed in with a smile, "So, how did you find Janey's service?"
As he spoke, Roy nudged the girl forward.
Janey managed a smile and addressed Forrest, "Mr. Walters..."
Forrest stared at Roy with icy eyes and declared, "This investment isn't going to happen!"
"Mr. Walters..."
Forrest grabbed twenty thousand dollars from his assistant and tossed it to the girl. "This is what you're worth!"
He was shocked at his own mistake.
The more he thought about it, the more it irritated him, and he stormed off to his car.
Roy was puzzled by Forrest's outburst.
“Mr. Walters, was there something wrong with our service?"
He then turned and reprimanded Janey, “What did you do?"
Janey kept silent, not daring to utter a word.
Forrest, having no patience for what he considered foolishness, instructed his assistant, "Go."
"Mr. Walters..."
Roy attempted to clarify things.
However, the car had already departed.
Angrily, Roy turned to the girl. “What's wrong with you? We were on the verge of sealing the deal. How could you upset him with just one night's mistake? You managed to drive away the investor we worked so hard to bring in."
The girl, clutching the money, figured she had landed a windfall without really trying.
Seeing it as a win-win, she pocketed money from both parties.
“How should I know? Maybe he's just weird," Janey responded dismissively.
