Chapter: 1848
“That's not your business."
Isaac had checked with Camila; she didn't know this woman.
Her sudden show-up was fishy.
“Why should I tell you if you won't tell me?"
Layla wasn't budging.
Isaac arched an eyebrow. "You can choose to keep silent, but trust me, you won't find Camila Haynes either."
Layla was surprised, staring at Isaac for a good beat.
"I'm Harland Garcia's fiancée. I heard Harland got hurt because of her, so I'm here to confront her. How could she do that?"
Isaac's expression shifted, then, instead of shooing her off, he said, "Come in."
She was genuinely shocked as she asked, “Do your words work? Won't I get blocked again?"
“Why not give it a shot?" Isaac suggested.
The girl stepped inside.
And, nobody stopped her.
“Keep an eye and don't let her near Camila," Isaac instructed Eagle.
“Got it, boss," Eagle replied and then dashed inside.
He dashed ahead of the lady, reaching Camila's side first.
Camila wondered why Eagle had barged in but, before she could ask, Layla marched over.
The girl seemed ready to fight her.
Eagle blocked her path, growling, "Try anything funny, and I'll snap your wrist."
Eagle was big and intimidating, and his stare was icy and menacing.
