Chapter: 1850
“He's your husband?" Layla was taken aback.

She felt a sense of relief wash over her.

She smiled and remarked, “Good for you for giving him a piece of your mind. I wonder if he'll dare to flee again.”

Camila urged, "Can you leave now?"

“Very well." Layla made her way to depart, taking a few steps before pausing and inquiring, "You won't visit my fiancé again, will you?"

"No, you keep an eye on him and ensure he doesn't wander. If he continues to resist marrying you, consider giving him a scare and confining him to a wheelchair. That should keep him from running off."

Camila half-jokingly and half-seriously offered her advice.

She genuinely desired Harland to tie the knot swiftly, partly for her own peace of mind.

Firstly, she desired to put an end to Harland's pestering.

Secondly, due to him, she had become entangled in Jaylen's schemes, leaving a bitter taste in her mouth.

She harbored lasting resentment towards Jaylen and Harland!

Harland's flight from his wedding likely indicated his dissatisfaction with his fiancée; otherwise, he wouldn't have fled.

Enduring life with someone he disliked must have been agonizing.

Layla's eyes narrowed.

Camila was ruthless, indeed.

It appeared there truly was no romantic entanglement between her and Harland!

"That seems a bit extreme." Layla had never contemplated such drastic measures. "I won't go to such lengths, but I'll keep a close watch on him. Once he's recovered, I'll escort him back to Faymoor, and then we'll proceed with the wedding."

After Layla departed, Camila turned to Eagle. "How did she gain entry?"

She was well aware of Eagle's capabilities.

If he hadn't permitted Layla's entry, she wouldn't have been able to enter.
