Chapter: 1858
He stood there, looking serious.
She felt like the only one with no sense of propriety, eager to kiss him.
“Mr. Johnston," everyone outside the elevator greeted Isaac.
Isaac gave a nonchalant "Hmm" in response. His voice lacked emotion as he said, "Please, come in."
Leading Camila out of the elevator, he didn't forget to introduce her, "This is Mrs. Johnston. Make sure to greet her as well in the future."
“Indeed, Mr. Johnston," they chorused in unison, then turned to Camila. "Pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Johnston."
Camila kept a polite smile. "Hello."
Inside, she was angry at Isaac for putting her in such an uncomfortable situation.
First impressions mattered.
Now, what would the company's employees think of her?
Isaac had completely ruined her reputation!
Once inside Isaac's office, as soon as the door closed, she grabbed his collar, pulling him towards her. He was too tall for her to look him in the eye without doing so.
This way, she didn't need to stand on her tiptoes. "Isaac Johnston, did you do this on purpose? To make me embarrass myself?"
Isaac leaned down a bit to comfort her, saying, “Don't worry. Wanting to kiss your husband and getting caught isn't embarrassing. You're my rightful wife; there's no need to hide. What's there to fear?"
"I'm not afraid," Camila snapped, her anger rising. "It's all about how things look."
Isaac smiled and teased, “Did I mess up your reputation?"
"Exactly," she whispered. “Others might assume all I can do is..."
Isaac continued, "Assume what?"
Camila sighed, giving his chest a playful tap. “Isaac, seriously, can you just stop? It feels like all you do is tease me."
"Mr. Johnston."
