Chapter: 1929
"Should we collaborate with this company?"
Isaac raised an eyebrow and looked at Alick, bewildered.
It was a cosmetic company in Faymoor.
Why would he collaborate with this company?
He wasn't involved in that line of business.
Even if he considered expanding, this wouldn't be his choice.
Alick quickly clarified, "Annis works there. If we collaborate with them, I'll have a chance to see her."
Isaac was at a loss for words.
Was this all just to meet her?
"And what if she leaves because of you?"
Alick was taken aback.
"If she were at a restaurant, would we start one just to meet her?"
Isaac questioned.
Alick fell silent.
Isaac got up, approached him, and placing a hand on his shoulder, advised, "If you want to see her, just go for it. No need to complicate things. Be honest.”
It wasn't that Alick preferred to avoid directness, but rather, he feared she would refuse to meet him.
Isaac felt powerless. "You haven't even tried yet, and you already believe you'll fail?"
Alick paused, reflecting on the words, then thought what Isaac said made sense.
If he couldn't face her directly, he could at least sneak a peek to make sure she was doing well. That would give him some peace of mind, so he wouldn't have to constantly worry about her.
Without delay, he pulled out his phone and booked a flight.
