Chapter: 1930
Once he had booked the ticket, Alick inquired, "Was what I suggested last time alright?"
Isaac leaned back in his chair and replied, "I haven't had the chance to talk to her about it yet."
Camila had been swamped with work.
She'd been getting home late lately, and he hadn't found the right moment to bring it up.
Alick sensed that if Isaac had liked the idea, he wouldn't have taken so long to think about it.
Isaac wasn't one to hesitate.
"Do you have any doubts?" Alick asked.
Isaac drummed his fingers on the table. "This situation might be more complicated than we think. You assume that without anyone close to Mila, the mastermind will reveal themselves. But considering how cautious the culprit has been, whoever's watching Mila might suspect a trap if they suddenly find her alone. It won't be easy to lure them in."
Alick pondered for a moment, then agreed. "So, we do nothing?"
Isaac had some thoughts on the situation, but without solid proof, he couldn't take any action that could tip off their enemy.
“No rush." He already suspected someone.
Jaylen was a total mess.
Moreover, Willie was keeping an eye on him all the time. He didn't dare to orchestrate this incident.
Figuring out who knew him and wanted to give him a blow by hurting Camila wasn't hard.
"Okay." Alick trusted Isaac deeply.
Isaac probably figured something out to stay so calm.
That meant Alick could go to Faymoor with peace of mind.
Around ten at night, Hyman stopped by and asked, “Feel like grabbing a midnight snack?"
Their research had reached the experimental stage, and they were conducting animal trials.
Camila was performing the operation.
