Chapter: 1949
“I heard about that," the director said with a nod.
He then gave her a reassuring pat. "You've done stellar work."
By the iron bars, the goat stood in a cage with a box-like contraption strapped to its belly. The readings on it kept shifting but nothing too drastic.
All readings stayed steady, signaling success.
The director was so pumped that he lost consciousness and fell.
Hyman felt anxious. He crouched down to assess the director's condition.
Camila understood the director was sick, so she acted fast to help.
However, upon checking his pulse, she detected an issue.
She calmly met Hyman's gaze and instructed, “Get an ambulance now. But wait, they might take too long. You help carry the director out instead."
"Alright." Hyman had full faith in Camila.
He followed her lead.
Camila assisted in getting the director onto Hyman's back.
Then she hurried to the front and instructed Eagle to start the car.
Once Hyman had the director inside, Camila directed Eagle to drive straight to the hospital.
Hyman accompanied them.
Camila's swift actions ensured the director was promptly taken to the hospital for help.
Camila and Hyman waited outside the operating room.
"Is he gonna be okay?" Hyman asked.
Camila's expression was serious.
She sensed the director's condition was serious.
